Evangelism Workshops

Steps to Church Growth

EVANGELISM SEMINARS

These seminars will introduce pastors and evangelism teams and church leaders to a number of practical ideas to increase your attendance and grow your church numerically.  After the ideas are presented, discuss which of these ideas your church will implement, what order you will implement them, break them into action steps, determine who will do which steps, start gathering resources, secure any additional training that is needed, establish your timeline and get started!  The seminar needs to be a half day and then another half day to do your planning.

Becoming Witnesses

EVANGELISM SEMINARS

Christians know we are all to be witness for Jesus in our day-to-day living, yet to some of us the idea seems frightening. We need is confidence and courage and love for people. This seminar is to build these within the participants. We will see that sharing Jesus with others can be done naturally, lovingly, gently, and confidently.  We need to trust God and rely upon God to lead us to the right people and lead the right people to us. Many of our “chance encounters” with people are not by “chance” at all, but happen by the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Sometimes God will “lay someone upon our heart” and they “just come to mind.”  Sometimes we sit at the next table to someone in a restaurant.  Or someone just happens to walk past our house while we are working in our flowerbed. Or we volunteer to help with church camp, or canvas the neighborhood for VBS, or go to help with a Christian outreach in the park, and every encounter is one we have been sent into with a holy purpose. We happen to sit near someone on an airplane, or at the gate of an airport, or camp near someone in a state park, or someone “gets highlighted” by the Holy Spirit in the supermarket. Any Day and Anywhere we need to be ready to follow God’s lead as he brings us to cross paths with people. This six-hour workshop includes teachings about how easy it is to be a witness for Jesus, how God speaks to us, about the importance of being a witness, about the spiritual gift of evangelism, about the ways God leads us to cross paths with those he wants us to witness to, and the training includes impartation and activation of the gift of evangelism. It also includes practice sessions with others at the workshop and then going out into the “real world” with someone to try out what we have been learning.  Becoming Witnesses for Jesus Any Day and Anywhere Evangelism Training can be held on a Friday evening and Saturday morning, or on a Saturday morning and afternoon, or during a Sunday morning as a whole-church seminar during the Sunday School hour, and sermon during worship, and concluding with a final teaching time after a Sunday church dinner.
